Keep first vs. keep last. When duplicates differ only in case or spacing, "keep first" preserves the earliest spelling in your list; "keep last" preserves the most recent one. Either way, the output stays in the original order.

Case and spacing. With "ignore case" on, Apple, APPLE, and apple count as one. With "trim spaces" on, a stray trailing space no longer keeps two otherwise-identical lines from being flagged as a pair.
